ISO/TS 16949 AUTOMOTIVE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

ISO/TS 16949 Quality Management System for the automotive industry is a system that responds to the demands of automobile manufacturers, based on the ISO 9000/ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

This standard, prepared by the Technical Committee affiliated with the International Standards Organization, was created by harmonizing technical standards for automotive supplier companies, where the requirements of the automotive industry are defined.

ISO/TS 16949 automotive management system; It has a basic system understanding that will provide the design, development, assembly work and service conditions of automotive products. It also covers certain requirements to its customers. The benefits of this management system to organizations;

IATF 16949:2016 is a quality management standard for the automotive industry that includes global technical requirements and automotive industry-specific requirements. IATF 16949:2016 has replaced the existing ISO/TS 16949 Standard and is a complementary standard to be implemented with the ISO 9001:2015 Standard. The new Standard includes all relevant requirements for the design, development, production, installation and maintenance processes of automotive products.

Automotive industry main manufacturers, Service part suppliers, Part-material suppliers in the main production organization supply chain, Heat treatment, painting, coating etc. on the supply chain. processors of transactions and suppliers of other customer-specific transactions.

This standard, which highlights the elements of high efficiency and stability conditions, will make great contributions to the manufacturer having a well-functioning management system and eliminating losses by preventing waste. It will be possible for handmade and eye-catching products to provide the highest input to their producers without being exploited by intermediaries. It will provide free circulation to the products of our manufacturing companies in the world and provide unhindered access to the real market. In order to implement and maintain the IATF 16949 standard, it is necessary to act with the goal of zero error. It is not possible for organizations that cannot criticize themselves, cannot target institutionalization and error-free operation, do not have a medium and long-term projection, and do not aim to become a real brand, to apply this standard and obtain this certificate.
